I am Ruthie, a pictorial storyteller painting tales of country ways, olden days, folklore, myth and magic, surrounded by beauty here in South West Scotland.
I saw a trailer for this a few days ago - I was surprised since it's such a short book but it looks wonderful! I'll be interested to see how the makers fill it out and hoping it'll be as good as the book!
Oh Wow!! I can't wait to see the film. I love the books. thank you ruthie for your sweet comments. Always lovely to see you and always lovely to visit your blog too xx sumea
This was a great favourite with my boys when they were little. I love the way he builds the chaos and noise into the middle and then calms it all down at the end. As a picture book it is hard to beat.
I only know the title of this story, it wasn't a book that ever appealed to me when my children were young. Maybe I had better sneak a look at a copy next time I'm in Waterstones and see what I've been missing!
Hi Ruthie, I love this book too. I wish we had more books like "where the wild things are"published today! Love your illustrations by the way very beautiful!:)
Me too! can't wait see this film of my favourite book by my favourite illustrator of all time! The trailer makes me cry, so hoping it can live up to huge expectations!!!
