I am Ruthie, a pictorial storyteller painting tales of country ways, olden days, folklore, myth and magic, surrounded by beauty here in South West Scotland.
How lovely! Like secret little worlds tucked away in their bookly habitat. I do find it very sad that some people are cynically minded enough to think it's a publicity stunt for the Council. I personally think that the artist wanted to evoke the mystery of story telling. Thanks for showing this Ruthie, I'm going to FB it! :) Jess xx
I hope that the artist is never discovered unless he or she chooses. It IS sad to see the cynicism, but I suddenly thought if the Council is doing this, well, what a lovely stunt to pull! There is still an artist creating. There is still magic happening. It is a sweet mystery.
Thank you so much for sharing this story Ruthie, it is life affirming to know that projects like this exist and that the wonder of mystery is still alive :)
Wonderful. Perhaps it's a little like guerilla gardening and guerilla knitting. Hope it catches on. I'm interested in some of the miniature oragami I've come across recently.
So glad you all loved this feature, its quite a magical story isn't it, I love the mystery behind it all. For whatever reasons it is being done it is perfect story telling! x x
Love it! I'm sure there's a reason the artist is currently remaining anonymous... likely in order to create this kind of buzz. But I find it enchanting!
How lovely! Think what a magical event finding one of these would be! They look exquisite, someone has put a lot of work into it. I hope that they all get good homes.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful magical story ! I agree with the woman in the bbc film, I don't want to know who is the artist, it's better to keep the mistery...
