where the wild things grow . . .

a world of tiny wonders . . .

(a faerie pup, or a giant mushroom? )

i am loving our wrapped up, breezy strolls
through woody places, over grassy meadows
watching as autum paints the world with burnished hues

  5. Exquisite photos, Ruthie. You are so lucky to have spotted a faery pup! Have you read *The Faery Flag* by Jane Yolen? It is her short story about the young laird, Jamie MacLeod from Skye whose dog crossed a bridge one foggy night into Faerie. You may know of other stories about the faery shawl of Dunvegan Castle.

I like the fairy pup about to hide behind a huge mushroom...
These are good forms. I use to like to draw mushrooms with oil pastels. They have such lovely textures and colour.
